T-5 Actinic recommendation

Not Quite Right
I have an outer orbit fixture with (2) 250W 14000K Phoenix DE bulbs. It currently has (2) 54W 10,000K and (2) 54W 460nm T-5's. I just replaced the MH but I am looking to replace the T-5's next. I am keeping softies now and plan to keep it that way for a while and have lots of shrooms, zoa's, rics, Xenia (yea, I know), GSP (Yea, I know again). Also have a clam and fish.

Any recommendations to make the colors pop and glow yes still make it easy on the eyes?

When I bought the fixture the 420 nm were fried so I replaced them for the summer with 10,000Ks so I could have good visible light to reduce MH time to keep the A/C from running all day. With cooler weather coming, I think it will someday, I can run the MH longer and use the T-5s to bring out the colors.

I picked up a softie leather something from Stlouisguy a few weeks back and it about burnt your eyes in his frag tank. It looks nice in mine but doesn’t have that iridescent glow.

Thanks,

Faz

I've used pc, t5, and vho actinics. IMO the t5's had the smallest actinic effect of all of them. And the vho actinics were way ahead of all of them.
