T-5 Light Set

I can seem to get my light set to line up right, I have 2 sets on a 125 gallon one on each side. They both should fit in the middle like at the LFS but they overlap. what am I doing wrong??

should I place one in the front on one side and one on the back on the other thats the only way they will fit

I think a bit more info is needed before a guess can be made.

length of lighting units?
brand?
retro kit or fixture?
length of tank?

heres how it looks they wont fit side by side

take out one(or both) of the legs, and switch it(them) around so the arc of the leg is going toward the center of the fixture.

I think they ordered the wrong size at the LFS I tried switching the arc around and that still does not work

ok I fixed it I just did not attach one end to the bar I just let it sit on top and its fine now thanks all
