T5 dimming interface with IC660

I am just now learning about your product, but what drew me to look into it is the t5 dimming capabilities.

From what I have read, the Icecap 660 T5 ballast supports dimming. Does the Profilux interface with these ballasts? If so what accesories are needed?

It does not support IC ballasts. Only the Sunlight Supply dimmer can do that, and it really is only designed to work with VHO bulbs (for which the IC ballast was originally designed). Even then, it doesn't really work reliably and has a bad reputation for blowing the ballast. All in all, the IC dimming port is about as useful as a third nipple.

Btw, here is some info to save you some time researching into ballasts that can take advantage of the Profilux dimming capabilities: The ballasts that work with it currently need to be 1-10V dimming ballasts. An example is the Sylvania Pentron Dimming T5 ballast. These ballasts are currently only available for 48" bulbs. I've tried finding 1-10V dimming ballasts for other sizes and they just don't exist. However, the Profilux will soon support DALI dimming ballasts, which opens up ballasts for 24", 36", 48", and 60" bulbs.

Well, fortunatly I have 48" lamps.

But of course I lose the overdriving that the icecap provides if I go with the sylvania, right?
