t5 lighting for a 125 gal tank

I'm looking into upgrading my 55 gal to a 125
I currently use 260 wt pc's
2x 65 wt dual daylight
2x 65 wt dual antinic
I keep - green star, xenia, trumpet, ricordia, hairy mushrooms, leather, zoos
I keep reading about the t5's being too much light for softies
AGA 125 tank is 22 in deep
would 2x 36 in 4 bulb 39watt (312 wt) be enough ? too much ?
I would like to keep higher light corals too, but I dont want to lose what I already have
with two 36 in fixtures
could I use a 4 bulb on one side and a 6 bulb on the other ?

I have 2 36" fixtures over my 125 with 6 bulbs each. Some softies did very well. Mushrooms don't do so well unless they are quite hidden.
