T5 mounting clips

Hi Guys,

I am thinking about supplementing my AI Sol Blue LEDs with T5s to get a better light spectrum and growth. My T5 standoffs are missing and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a few T5 mounting clips. Thanks

Those clips go on the reflector and has nothing to do with the standoffs. What parts do you have?

I only have the endcaps, Icecap 660 ballast and reflectors.

I had an Icecap 440 ballast and I read about how they are intended to be used on VHO bulbs and not T5's eventho they still market/sold the icecaps as t5 ballasts. Overdriving the bulbs is not good for the life of the bulb.

I'd recommend selling that icecap and picking up an Advance or HEP ballast which are cheap on ebay.

Have you picked out bulbs? I'd recommend adding 2 ati coral+ bulbs. Here's a video showing the color.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-TbkPJhHkY

and imo with the leds they look great.

I'm in the process of adding T5's to my leds also and i've done a ton of reading.

If you're going to order stuff like those clips or bulbs i'd order with you to save on shipping. I'm not too far from pines.

Thanks for the info. I did read that about the Icecaps and how over driving them will shorten the life of the bulb. If I do not go the Icecap was thinking about buying this setup:

I looked at those but I have a few issues with it.

1. You gotta run a ballast per bulb so you'll need 2 where just 1 ballast x 2 bulbs makes more sense.

2. Those endcaps look really cheap. I prefer the waterproof endcaps.
