I've had the bulbs in my 4 bulb fixture for about 8 months now and I already got a replacement set. I was wondering what the best approach swamping the new with the old ones would be.
Based on what I've read on here I came up with two scenarios:
1. Switch all four bulbs at the same time, cut my light schedule in half and slowly increase the light period over a period of about 4 weeks to avoid stressing my corals.
2. Leave the light period constant and swap a bulb per week or 10 days to achieve the same effect - less stress on the corals.
Forgot to say that currently I have a Coralife 4bulb fixture running the stock bulbs and the bulbs going in are 2 ATI Blue+, ATI Purple + and ATI Aquablue Special.
Thanks ahead of time:spin3:
