I've read many threads and still i just need some help picking a camera. I understand the lens part. Im looking at the canon t3i, t4i( which is on re-call at the moment), and the 60D.

Are these good cameras? Or should i be looking at different cameras? I plan on buying a 100mm for macro shots.

Thanks in advance any input will be helpful

All good cameras. If you can get your hands on a store model to play around with, do that. The t3i & t4i are of course going to be very similar, but the 60D is a different design that you may or may not like better. Personally, I like having more control at my fingertips with something like the 60D, but other people like the more compact design of the Rebel series. The performance of all three are going to meet the needs of most people. The 100mm macro should also serve you well.

Thanks for the good info. That's Wat I was looking for

i have the t3i and am very happy with it. i just wish i had the camera skills and knowledge to use it to its full potential lol. but it take very nice photos.

when i first got my t3i i went on a photoshoot spree. im only using the stock lens it came with. id love to get some other glass for it but im holding out for some L lenses lol. at some point i will end up with some other ones just dont know which ones i want.

but even with the stock lens people can still notice the difference in quality. when my wife's sister was looking at the photos i had taken with it she sent me an email asking if i had taken them with a dslr camera. she noticed because shes got one so she was able tell the difference. i can tell when i photo looks good based on clarity and detail but i have no idea what kinda of camera took the picture lol to me a good photo is a good photo =)

sooner or later when i get some nice corals going my hope is to get a macro lens and try to take some decent shots with the t3i. its one reason i got a fancy camera.
