Taking down and storing live rock

I am remodeling the room my 135 is in and need to keep my rock alive. The remodel will take about three weeks and the only thing I will keep is my rock to put in my new tank when the remodel is complete. can I keep it in tub with a power head going, and will it stay alive without lights on it/

Yes it should be fine. Just make sure you have a bunch of flow and maybe run a skimmer. when I cure I use a skimmer and a Ca Reactor to encourage coraline algae. Only real concern is dead spots. rotate the rock some and have good flow. good luck.
