Taking down reef but trying to decide...

I have a 240 gallon reef that is currently being stripped of all corals. I have been on the fence about getting rid of everything, going with FOWLR or African Cichlids.

I know the last option would be the most difficult because they are freshwater and it would be more learning on my part. The FOWLR however would be the easiest transition to make from a full reef.

I already currently have a show sized Red Sea Purple Tang, show sized Regal Tang, Yellow Tang, Foxface, Tomato Clowns, Cleaner Wrasse, Clown Wrasse and a Ocellaris clown. I was thinking if I could still add a couple of Angels and some other recommended fish, if I could possibly keep some of the easier corals like leathers and so forth. Can anyone recommend any large Angels or other fish and corals?

I really like blue face and scribbled angels. You could also add a variety of dwarf angels, they are very colorful and active.

I would stay away from a queen or emperor angel unless it is the last fish, and even then some queens get too big for your tank.

I also really enjoy seeing shoals of anthia, so maybe you could check out some of the easier to care for anthias. There is a thread on that over on the reef fishes forum now.

I've done Cichlids and was board, they are much easier than marine fish.
Triggers, angels, and butterfly fish are my favorite for FOWLR.
It will be hard to keep any corals with large angels but it depends on which species you decide to go with.

My plan is to move my existing 240g into my family room and move the existing fish into a 55g for a week or two unit the new fish can establish their own territory. They will all be added at the same time.

Here's what I've come up with so far.
Emperor Angelfish, Juvenile (Indonesia) - Medium
Blueface Angelfish, Juvenile (Indonesia) - Medium
Powder Blue Tang (Maldives) - Medium
Caribbean Blue Tang - Yellow Juvenile
Copperband Butterflyfish (Singapore) - Medium
Sleeper Gold Head Goby (Fiji) - Small
Diamond Watchman Goby (Sri Lanka) - Small

I had an emperor and a blue face together with a blue spotted angel in an otherwise lightly stocked 210. They were fine for the first few years, then the emp killed the blue face and my blue spotted angel. I'd be careful with your stocking levels. Is that list in addition to the tangs you already have?

The person who is helping take down my reef also owns a saltwater fish store. He is going to QT the fish before they are moved into my DT.

The stock list was just some initial thoughts. I was hoping for some advice from someone who may have housed angels together before. I may also get rid of my current fish and go with all juviniles. I love watching fish grow up from when they're young.

I also like snowflake eels and triggers.
