Tampa Bay Live Rock

Just thought I would pass this along, I ordered some rock from Tampa Bay Live Rock and picked it up from the airport yesterday. This stuff is awesome, it comes direct from the diver and packed in seawater so is 90% alive as opposed to 20% on the stuff you buy at your LFS. It was loaded with purple coralline , orange sponges and has lots of tiny snails, crabs and in the bottom of the bag I few tiny starfish and even a couple of pistol shrimp.
I am sure it must be very beneficial to my system because it is so full of stuff. A bonus was the sand in the bottom of the bag which was also full of creatures which went into my fuge. The only thing you have to watch for are bad things , I found a gorilla crab and some bristtle worms which I managed to pick out before they got in my tank. A 30 # box was $160 and cost about $55 freight, easy pick up at Southwest Freight at the airport. About $7.00 a lb same as I paid for the half dead stuff from Figi.

Hope this helps anyone looking for some good stuff.

Yep I've used them a couple of times. Infact I got their package with our very first tank several years ago. IME its pretty good stuff. Some of the rock tends to be a little more dense then some of typical live rock. But I really like the fact that its farmed vs just harvested from places where its still legal to do so. I also think the rock you get is much more alive. The biggest downside to some is the hitchhikers. I had several Mantis shrimp and Gorilla crabs. I've still got a mantis shrimp I kept as a pet. I even have a Condy Anemone that I got in 2003 with our first shipment.
Here is bob the mantis when we got him. Keep an eye out for them though cause they will kill fish and everything else.
