Tang with a strange eye...

Good morning,

I have this tang under cupramine treatment since 2 weeks.

As you can see from the photos there is a problem with one of its eyes.

Could it be a bacteria infection ?

Any suggestions ?

To me it looks like the eye was damaged some time ago and has long since healed. Did it look like that when you got it? Gorgeous powder brown by the way.

When it first came, that eye was foggy; perhaps due to the ich etc. Then underneath that fogginess this appeared.

I am really happy with its general appearance as it also eats like a beast.

looks like everything cleared up nicely for you, I had a yellow tang whos eye looked exactly like that and it was a result of pop eye that progressed to far, the lfs was going to throw the poor thing away so I took it, dosed melafix, and after everything cleared up that's what the eye looked like. That tang went on to live a long healthy life. Good luck with that beauty, may you get many years of enjoyment out of him/her.

His color is good, and the eye looks healed. Powder Browns are pretty hardy for a tang. I think he'll be just fine.
