tangs fins not good

Both my purple and yellow tangs dorsal and tail fins are losing color and regressing. It started about a week or so ago when my ph was around 7.8 to 8.0. I have raised the ph to 8.1 to 8.2 however the fins still are not looking to good. In fact the ends are all jagged rather than round and circular. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

is it possible that another fish is picking on them and nipping at their fins?

Not really... I have the same fish in the tank for 4 years now.

post your water parameters and the tank stock list

Just because they have all been together for a while does not rule out a tankmate picking on them.
