Tank and Vacation

I will be going on vacation soon, leaving on a friday afternoon and not coming back till tuesday evening. What do you all suggest for my tank. I only have one family member that would be willing to come by the house to feed my cats, but I would not trust them with the tank. I know I can get an automatic feeder, but what about the top offs, I am having to top off my tank almost everyday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

How big is the tank? I can leave all 3 of my tanks for 4-5 days by slightly overfilling them and they are fine until I get back. I empty my skimmer, do regular maintenance, and then slowly overfill them. I've done this a handful of times with no problems. (2x55gallon, 90 gallon).

get an Auto Top Off...i use JBJ's ATO...works great and the best thing ive ever bought for the tank

no need to get an auto feeder....just get the person to dump in some food for you...pre-measured in a sandwhich bag or something....do let them guess how much to feed

On a scarry note my buddies ATO went nuts while she was on vacation  So hook it up and let it run for a while to be sure all the kinks are works out. Also I measure out food in those little throw away cups for water after you brush your teeth. They work great for frozen and dry and you can write what day they go in if you vary the foods ;). Also you should know your tanks H2O demands, you can get a 5 gallon jug and a measuring devise to be sure they don't dump in too much. "fill this container 2x and dump in ...." Where are you located? Someone in the club may be willing to swing in and put some experienced eyeballs on it at least once.

ATOs are really cool, but when I start running mine, I actually think I'll set it up to not topoff more than 5 gallons, and probably shut it off completely while out of town, just in case. Too many potential issues with flooding the tank, just my preference.
