tank bred true perc color?

I have a 1" wc true perc that is a stunning deep orange/black/white. I picked up a 3/4" ORA tank raised true perc at one of my lfs. He's eating like a pig already. He is acting normal as well. However, his orange is pale next to my WC fish. Will he 'color up' as he gets older, or will he always be a paler orange? I don't care if he gets the black coloring that my wc has, but would like to see his orange deepen...

some foods like formula 2 and rods food claim to brighten the coloring with their ingredients. the WC will be brighter then the Captive bred. unfortunate trade off is captive bred have easier time adjusting to the tank then WC, but arent as bright

Feeding and lighting as could help coloring up your fish, but tank bread clowns are commonly less colorful as wild caught.

I kinda figured the tank bred wouldn't be as bright...but he's doing really well and eating like a pig, so all is well. Thanks for the info!
