Tank crash

Well I got some problems, to start tank over heated and crashed. While I was in the process of moving. Was able to save the rock out of the tank, but the sand had to many dead bodyes in it so I throwed it out.
My question is, do I let the rock sit out and dry then recure it or do I need to boil it first then cure it. My problem is what do I need to do to cure the rock. Thank you for the help.

Just how hot did the rock get, and for how long?

There may still be stuff alive in the rock...but there surely won't be if you let it dry out or boil it...

I'd put it in saltwater with a powerhead and watch for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. I would also look for sign of survivors - you might be surprised...
