Hello,
I recently moved the inhabitants from an established tank to another one of my displays. I plan on using the tank they were in for a tank solely for acropora. The tank was over a year old with all parameters and nutrients in check. I left all of the marinepure media in the sump, but I switched out the rock and 75% of the water. About half of the rock I'm using has been cured. The rest is new. I added some nitrifying bacteria today also. Do I need to add any ammonium chloride to this tank to try and start a cycle or do I just need to be aware of any mini-cycles that may result from the new rock?
What do you think and what is the best approach in your opinions?
Thanks!
