Tank is too clean

So, I've always had nutrients in my previous tanks.
While setting up my current 350 gallon tank, I went overboard on everything.
OVer skimming, 40 gallon breeder full of microalgae and live rock, GFO and carbon reactors, and a 5 stage rodi filter.
And I've noticed everything slow down in growth from what I had before.
Kind of amazing actually. My corals have always been used to somewhat elevated nitrates and phosphates, and now I'm barely reading nitrates.
No nuisance algae, no diatoms, and hardly any algae growing on the glass... and it's not thie lights, I can promise that. I'm running a 6 bulb ATI on the 50 gallon, 18" high tank, and 4 radions on the 240 cube, so I think the lighting will suffice..
This is one of those good problems to have.
I guess it's time to start adding more fish! My corals need the food!
Anyone else ever had this success/problem?
I'm not sure I know had to run a nutrient-low system..

mattsreefadise,

Running a LNS/ULNS is not a bad thing, but it does require a great deal of balance.

Overskimming is fine, but GFO along with over skimming could end up killing corals in the long run unless you are compensating for this extreme nutrient removal.

Define "overskimming" first.
How much GFO and in what application?
Carbon is fine but I would recommend using half dose considering your over skimming statement and the use of GFO.

What types of corals are you trying to keep?

What test kits are you using for nutrient levels? API? HANNA? RED SEA? ELOS? etc...

Lighting appears sufficient.

Before you start throwing fish/food into the system first look at these parameters and critique them appropriately.

Depending on the types of corals you plan to keep, and the true extent of nutrient export, you may want to consider an amino acid complex and some form of a 2 part additive to add back.

I have a 40Breeder ULNS. 0 PO4 (hanna) and undetectable nitrates.
I use KZ AA concentrate daily (2) drops. Sponge Power twice a week, Coral Vitalizer twice a week, and feed Coral Frenzy/ROE/Artemia at least once weekly.
I overskim, but do NOT run GFO, and half dose carbon in a BRS carbon reactor.
I dose 2 part on an autodoser and add 500PPM Calcium Chloride back to my auto topoff.
My tank is primarily geared toward SPS corals, with LPS and some softies on the side.
