tank mate for undulated trigger

I have a 100gal, with tonga branch and substrate that houses a 5in undulated trigger.
what type of wrasse ( around 7in in size) would go with this female trigger?

I know of some lunar wrasse that might be able to hold their own, how long has the trigger been kept isolated?

If that undulated is alone in that tank, he's going to be hard-pressed to let anyone else in there.

As for a wrasse, a sensible choice would be the lunar due to it's speed and activity level. That's not saying it won't be stressed if the undulated decided to chase it relentlessly.

I work at a LFS, and we've had a 4" undulated trigger brought back 4 times already due to agressiveness. Just thought I should let ya know. :)

How long has the undulated been in there. If he has been in the tank a couple months he probably thinks that tank is his. What you could try is to add 3 fish at once. That's what I do. Spreads out the hostility. Maybe try a lunar wrasse, a grouper, and a puffer. All will be pretty capable of a good defense.

shes been it the 100gal for around 4 months, started out with some damasles to keep her amoused, they disappeared in around a month, i would rearrange the tonga branch be for i put another fish in with her.

A 100G is a 5' tank not 6.

Carnavor, I'd just leave her alone; adding tankmates would be a waste of money at this point.

72x18x18=100g. There is probably a 5' version also. I assumed she meant the 6'. Anyways she still could add 3 fish with that water volume.

had this from an old fish magazine
