well after receiving some great advice, my tank is now stable, the brown algae diatom was all gone just over a week ago, my water nice and stable.
i added 3 cleaner shrimp 2 days ago and they are doing great. starting breeding/harvesting coepods in my refugium ready for when i start adding fish and live coral.
planning on adding a couple of clown fish end of next week, so all going good a happy newbie is slowly on his way.
a big thank you to all those that offered advice and to those that published advice on the forums it has been really useful. i shall continue to :reading:
