Thanks Doug they look great I'll take some more and try again. I might be a reef geek but i still have some learnin to do when it comes to these here computers. thanks again!

That mushroom garden looks really nice ... A warning about the clam (not that you haven't heard it before), but it will not live long-term at the bottom of your tank under PC lights. If you check out the clam forum, there is not a single person who has been able to keep a medium size clam alive long-term with pcs (especially at the bottom). When it dies, it will really pollute your tank. Just a warning, I don't mean to sound like a jerk.

I've had the clam in ther for about 3 or 4 years now i'ts one of the oldest members of the tank. Just lucky I guess.

what species is it? clams heavily feed when young and then switch over to relying more on light as they grow. I am certainly shocked and impressed that you have had it so long under pcs (when you say pc you mean compact bulbs, i assume) T5s, etc. are a whole nother story.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, but you sure are lucky! you could probably sell the *rare* PC loving clam on ebay for thousands of dollars :-)

Mine is a stock coralife fixture with the bulbs that came with it. It's over my 55 gallon tank. I'll let ya have the clam for $500 lol.
