Two tank raised Maculosus arrived yesterday from live aquaria. Currently in QT. These little guys are adorable but really small. It is fun watching them chase pods in the rock that are too large for them.
I thought buying two at such a small size may give me a chance to form a pair down the road. I will see how that goes. For now I had planned on adding them to the display but at 1/2 inch I'm afraid the CB shrimp will make a meal of them.
Question though, at this size, do think picking pods and sponge off the rock is enough. I've tried frozen plankton, cyclops and brine without interest. I have ~ 400 lbs of LR in my fuge for the display that I was planning to rotate into the 29 gal QT. I'm sure they don't have much of a food reserve and need to constantly eat when so small, so I am a little worried. I've started a batch of baby Brine shrimp.
Any thoughts.
