could it be because at night the fans go off and the pumps are making that much heat. in the day the temp is 80, i checked it early this morning and it was 82 ???? what do i do ?

is 82 really a big deal , should i just not worry about it ?

just run a small fan through the night.
It's going to get worse as the humidity creeps up.

sometimes in the summer when I turn off the ac to early the room temp alone allows the tank to shoot up 2 degrees

that's the best simple solution. you should watch the temp the first day. My fan works wonders but can do to much if I am not careful

Could be the Heater in the tank, I had a problem with mine for bit before I replaced it. The Temp would go down at night so my heater would kick in full force to keep the temp up and overshoot it most the time.

Pumps generally add more heat to the water than lights do. People dont take that into consideration. Also, fans can remove a great deal of heat.
