Well the Vegas trip wasn't too kind to my tank. I gave my mother instructions to stop by my place a couple of times and top off my sump while I was gone. She did, but didn't know what is was she was doing so she didn't top it off enough and the tank level dropped below the overflow. I came home to find the sump pump basically running dry and the skimmer with no new water running through it, just what was in the chamber. Luckily there doesn't appear to be any damage to the pump or skimmer, but I did have a huge hair algea outbreak. I am not sure what caused it. I am thinking the reduced flow and lack of the skimmer. It is amazing it can grow that much in 1 week. I have it about 75% cleaned up, but I still have some work to do this weekend (pull some rocks and give them a scrub). I also lost a coral or two to overgrowth of the algea around them, but the others should be fine. I am going to more some things to the frag tank too, to grow them out a bit.
