as long as you refrain from dosing filter food for now and keep that skimmer running proper, you shouldnt see any spike any time soon. congrates! you see how easy this work out sometimes.
one time a started a thread about the worst disaster that we have experienced with our tanks. the pictures were amazing. dan's was unreal! (the fire deal). anyways i remeber saying the best way to deal with any heart ache our tank gives us is to pause. think about what could be wrong. then (important part) go to the kitchen pour a shot of at least 90 proof liquir. take the shot and youll be alot less panic about the situation.LOL in any case its best to not tackle stuff too fast. like ive said when you see something puzzling waiting the next morning to worry about ussually reveals that the issue is resolved already. another tip. refrain from doing any maintanace at night when your tank is in night mode. the night is a bad time to try and get a feel about your tanks health by appearence. wait till the morning.....for example if you look at your water clarity at night youll panic that its full of stuff! you could almost mistake that for a filtration issue...its not...just normal micro animals going into suspension at night.
