Tank water gets cloudy when treating with formalin ms. Why?

Ahh, clownfish that have brook. What other parasite is treated with formalin?

Stubborn flukes can be treated with formalin when other methods do not work. Also some aquarists will mistreat/misdiagnose a disease and utilize formalin. As to your original question I've only done formalin dips to treat brook so no real experience treating a QT. Is the water still cloudy? I'm sure you are keeping an eye on ammonia as formalin will destroy the bacterial filter.
