I had some so called Live rock in my tank purchased from LFS. It has been in my tank for about 2 years. All that had
grown on it is Coralline algae and some Mushrooms. I also have a few colonies of pesky apatasia, but hey these exist on
the reef. I ordered about 30lbs. of Live Rock, 15 lbs of Live Sand, and a clean-up crew. I also got a few hitch-hikers...
This wierd looking Cuke, that others in this forum have received also.. was found in the Sand.

And unbeleivably.. a baby octopus!!! (make sure to check your bags!!

The Live rock from TBS is full of colorful life and organisms. I caught one of the Decorator crabs slurping up a bristleworm..
Can you make him out? He's got 4 strategically placed sponges.

I want to thank Richard again for the Product and Service he provides. He (and Susie) really went through and still goes through alot for his customers. Read the Bio, History, and Stories if you haven't yet. Can't wait for my next order to replace my other existing rock and also get my 6 gal. nanoreef going.

Thanks for sharing the picts. Definitely gave your tank a boost. By the way, the pistol may not be a"baby". The pistols in my tank have not grown much larger than an inch in the 4yrs they've been in the tank (they came with my rock, and are still in there clicking away!).
PS: Welcome to the forums!!

Thanks Jeff. Have your pistol shrimp gained any color or are they transparent, too? I never heard this guy snap in the 2 days I had him in holding tank. But I do hear another in the tank though.

One was almost clear with a yellowish green main claw. The other(s) were sort of an olive color with a bit of mottling to the color. Its hard to say on colors, as the little buggers are shy as all get out. The only time I ever see them is late at night (early morning) when the room has been dark for an extended period. I then explore the tank using a red LED flashlight, which distorts most colors. If I use any other light source, they pull out of sight in a flash. Someone posted a picture a year or so back of a pistol that showed up in there package that was a dark blue with orange-rust markings; very striking in appearance.

This is a picture I managed a few years ago. (I haven't managed to get any recently)
