at what reading do people start to switch out their filters?

If you were getting 0 and now you're getting 2's or 3's I'd go ahead and put a new DI cartridge on order. It's only going to get worse.

I take action at 5 or 6 - meaning replace, not start to think about it.

If I didn't have a reef, then I might let it get to 10-15 for just my fishes.

I may have been changing out filters more often than I probably should.....I'd switch out at 1 or 2, 3 at the max.

My rodi puts out 6-7 with new filters. It all depends on what the 6-7 tds is.

Just curious, but what kind (brand) of RODI are you using?

Is it just RO or RO and DI?

I got one of the cheap rodi units off ebay. It is working alright. I don't have any algae problems, and my reef is happy, but as soon as the new filters go out. I'm going with the filter guys.

remember guys that prefilters have little effect on tds. Their job it to protect the membrane and DI resin
