So, I had my 70 gallon Tech Tank leak over the weekend. I noticed it on Saturday. It must have started leaking about Thursday, but I only noticed that the water in my sump was low at that time. I thought it was evaporation due to the fact that it was so hot in NJ. By Saturday morning it had wrecked the stand and soaked my carpet, padding, and sub-floor. I must have lost about 8 to 10 gallons in a couple days. Since Oceanic was closed over the weekend I had to run out and buy a whole new set up; Almost $2,000.00. I worked non-stop from Saturday morning to Sunday night to set it up. I lost most of my fish, 4 out of 7, and most of my corals have receded back to their skeletons. I contacted Oceanic on Monday (I think they are now Central Systems) and submitted photos for the claim. I am hoping they do good by their lifetime warrantee. The tank was only 3 years old. On top of that it was my wife and my anniversary on Saturday, and Halloween on Sunday, so I missed both with my wife and kids. Big bummer!
