tell me if im wrong

they look pretty close to aptasia lol :) cant tell by the pic if they really are tho.

However i know that my local PETCO was selling a few aptasia for 10 bucks a pop lol. Nothing should surprise you in the buisiness industry. If they can sell it, they dont care what the crap its gonna do to a tank as long as they get their money.

there is actually a coral that is called stick polyps...my lfs had them for over a year in their tank cause everyonew was afraid to buy them, however if you look at them closely you can see that the polyp is actually growing out of a stick type base that kinda reminded me of a grogonian.

lol thats still funny I still rember my first purchase of LR and the LFS said they had anemones on them "not" but guess we all learn one way or another

lol ya. Well its bad enough that they look like aptasia, but the petco by me actually had them LISTED as "aptasia". "Common, easy to care for species which requires little to no lighting and is reef safe"....i really dont know where they get some of that stuff from...oh well

lol ya. They've got pretty nice stores in a couple locations here (mainly cuz one of our local reefers is manager at one) But overall they're not too great besides those couple.

Actually, the picture makes them look worse than they are. In a tank they tend to be a pretty yellow color and they do not take over everything.
