Hey everyone,
So my friends parents moved to california and gave me all of their fish and inverts out of their tank. This is my first anem. She said it was a sebae but the more and more pics I look at, Im not so sure. Also today its mouth puffed, I'm hoping this is normal =/

here's a picture.

You cant see from the photo, but all the tentacles are brown with purple tips and the foot is firmly attached and white. Cant seem to get a decent pic of it, its at a tough angle.
Its under 2x 175W 10,000K halides.
ph is about 8.1-8.2 during the day
80 degrees
0 Ammonia

ok first the 9year old haddoni thread where two nems had this "disease" plus yesterday a nice RBTA with the bubble. im going to go out on a limb here is this an anemone disease that we are now discovering??

Hemorrhoids?

Actually I received a sebae that looked like the foot was coming up through the mouth....as I recall, it only lasted a few days - but the others from that shipment were fine. But I don't know if I lost it due to "foot in mouth" or from the stress.

Keep us updated!

We sure it isn't just its stomache turning inside out to try and dispell something that's inside?

I'm not an expert by any means but I read anemones do that, right? Not trying to say that is normal or a good thing, just a possibility.

Sebae is a common name for h. crispa (and sometimes M. doreensis).
My crispa's lips swell sometimes when it's eating, but never like this. Keep us posted please.
