Temperate Macros?

Hey happy people -

I'm setting up an insulated temperate nano tank (about ten gallons) and would like to add some macros. I remember reading either here or elsewhere that many macros, as well as most seagrasses, can live happily down to 65 degrees, which is about where I'd like to keep my tank.

Does anyone have any specifics on species or care? Are there any that fare better than the rest, yet are still attractive?

So, no one knows anything about adapting tropical macros to temperate conditions, eh? Not even a faint recollection of a paper you read in a college biology course?

There are alot of temperate macros, and there are alot of tropical macros, same with seagrasses. Many will not do well in the opposite environment. There are however some species which have adapted to live at the extreme of their environment, the in-between if you will, and these can be kept in either environment with some success.

I know. I do not have access to temperate macros, so I would like to use tropical macros that will grow in temperate conditions. My question is, which ones? No sense buying random algaes just to have them die. :)
