In Memoriam
While I was in Atlanta working, a few co-workers that live in Atlanta said I needed to go up and visit the Tennessee Aquarium. It is located right off the highway in Chattanooga, TN. It was about 100 miles north of Atlanta. Since I was there over the weekend, we decided to take the trip up and see the Aquarium. It was well worth the trip. It was actually 2 separate buildings and an IMAX theater. We spent more then twice the amount of time in the Aquarium then the Georgia Aquarium.
There was more fresh water tanks here, but they did have some saltwater ones too. In addition, there was also a Butterfly House inside. If you are in Atlanta area, do not miss this place!
There is another identical building to the left, did not think I needed to post a picture of both.....
When you enter the building, you take a very long escalator to the very top where they have a Rain Forest type environment. Then you proceed to walk down through the building, from each type of tank/eco-system to the next.
Very well laid out....
One of the first places you enter is the Butterfly House.
They even had that Ultra Rare Bright Blue Parrot Fish.....
I know, I know.... WHERE ARE THE FISH !!!!!!
PART 2 WILL BE POSTED SHORTLY
