Just some FYI for all you wondering if you glass is tempered or not:

Thread- http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1629287

"I found a method online that has worked for me so far, but I don't know if it's full proof or I have just gotten lucky so far.

What you need is a pair of polarized sun glasses and a LCD screen (laptop, phone, etc...) almost all of your LCD screens are polarized at a 45 degree angle so if you put the glasses on and look at the LCD (easiest when your background is white or you have notepad maximized) screen at a 45 degree angle it should look solid back.

So if you put the LCD screen on one side of the glass and look through the glass with the glasses on the screen should black out at a 45 degree angle when looking through non-tempered glass. When looking through tempered glass you should see white lines; the screen won't go completely black like it does with non tempered glass.

The reasoning behind this is that the tempered glass will reflect the light differently because of the pressure.

As I said before, I found this information online and the article I got it from is a lot more clear than what I just typed. If I can find the link again I will post it here"

I will do this on my new tank just to make sure.
