Test Kits

Calcium, Nitrite, Ammonia=Salifert
Alkalinity and Nitrates=Lamotte
Phosphates=Hach
SG=refractometer
PH=Pinpoint

I use Salifert for Ca, Mag, and Phosphates. And any future test kits I buy. I may go for the Hatch on the next phosphate as it is more accurate.

Aq. Pharm on my nitrate just because I have it but would go Salifert if purchasing again.

Aq. pharm for my alk. It's accurate enough and I can get a 40 ml bottle pretty cheap since that is the one test I do a LOT of.

I use salifert.... Hated the tetra tests....never could get an acurate reading. (they were given to me, didn't buy them, they didn't seem that old or expired but i guess they could have been).

I use Salifert For Cal,Mag,Trates,Alk.
Use Deltec for Phosphate
Salinty checked by refractometer
PH is checked by Pinpoint

If we're doing ph/salinity too I use pinpoint on my son's lion tank, Aquacontroller on my main system, and refractometer for salinity.

Are the Pinpoint monitors that much better than the Milwaukee that you can get for under 70.00?

I have the Hagen Lab Test kit. So far I like it. The only thing it din't have was the Iodine which I use Salifert.

I'm not so big on the Tetra Laborett.
