Test Kits

What are the best ones & where is the cheapest place to get them? Does anyone have any extra test kits they aren't using that I can buy?

I'd like to test for calcium, Alk, pH & nitrates. That about covers it, right? Now that I have a clam, I think I need to be more careful.

sea chem makes some good ones
i always had good results with them. I think that the best prices are actually marine depot, although i may be wrong...

Jeni...Salifert is by far the best test kit available to us. I have used them all too. Rod sells Salifert. Give him a jingle for pricing.

I just switched from seachem to salifert, I think salifert is easier to read the titration than seachem. I compared the two tests last saturday and there was 75 point different on CA and 2 meq/l on ALK. Both a significant differance. I highly recommend Salifert

I've been lucky enough to pickup half used kits from people tearing down but when I need them, I plan on purchasing from my local LFS (Rod). Your only saving a few bucks ordering online, every little bit helps support your LFS and pays them back for the million phone calls and questions.
