Tetra like reef safe fish?

Big Time Reefer
Hey guys trying to figure out what I'm going to be stocking in my tank. Haven't even gotten it yet but trying to envision anyway. Is there any kind of freshwater tetra like equivalent in the hobby? I'd like to get a handful of tiny active fish like that for my tank.

Any suggestions? Not really into bigger fish and want the corals to be at the forefront. Planning on lots of open space and big sps colonies up top.

Edit button doesn't seem to work on mobile, wanted to add that I've read about the red spot cardinals and like the idea but people are warning of lots of fatalities and also impossible to find

There we go, that's what's up right there. Any other ideas ?!

The yellow striped cardinals don't school/shoal at all. Threadfin cardinals seem the be the best choice for a shoaling fish. Not the flashiest fish but their eyes do glow kind of blue under LEDs.Mine stick together pretty tightly. Redspot cardinals are my favorite but they are really tough fish to keep alive long term.
