Update:
The adapter is holding up fine thus far. Well over 24 hours and I can connect to my ACiii from anywhere! Yay! I just bought the adapter and the last firmware update was in October 2010 or something so these adapters might just be chilling in warehouses somewhere. I'll echo fireiko's post...Be SURE to update ALL Firmware before you tackle these.
