Enjoyed my first meeting with the FMAS tonight. Didn't get to meet everyone, but was a pleasure meeting the ones I did. Loved the auction, and hope to enjoy my newly purchased additions. I look forward to a long and enduring friendship with the club.

I thought the auction was the best part, everyone seemed to thouroughly get into, it was lively!
I picked up 4 frags and a nice lion for about $70, all said and done I actually got about 7 frags out of it, couple were tiny, in with the others, looked real healty, polyps were all extended to greet the lights this morning.
Not to worry ... I'll have some pics coming ...

Poof ... well imagine that...

here's an image of a purple tipped acro frag, think it was $17, it's about 3.5 - 4" long, single stalk with 1 small branch protruding, I think the color will come out nicely in a few days. This is it's first day (obviously):

Hey Deane, I upgraded my point & shoot sony cyber... for a Canon powershot pro1 and I don't know how to use this beauty, I mean i can take pictures in the automatic mode, but will like to be able to do the macro shot and use the overall capabilities of this semi SLR camera, any pointers or can you tell me were to read more info (in plain English) about reef photography?
