The bane of my existence...300 gallon sps tank

Hey guys and gals.
I have been reading threads of many highly successful sps keepers and decided to keep a little journal here in the sps forum w the hopes of helping others avoid my mistakes.
A little background info: I have kept aquariums (mostly freshwater) for 25 years and got into the salt side of things about 5 years ago. I am lucky my wife doesn't check my paypal account because otherwise otherwise I'd have to remove the sump and live under the tank / inside the stand, like some kind of reefer troll...

Without going through all the upgrades and equipment changes throughout the years, I am currently running the following:

2x ati 48inch 8 bulb sunpowers w 2 reefbright xho on each
2 gyre 280 plus 1 tunze 6255
Bubbleking 250 skimmer w a bubble blaster 5000
Geo618 with a upgraded sicce 1.5 recirculating pump fed by a masterflex pump
Decent sized fuge with chaeto / gac reactor
Semi auto water change system ran by a cheapo masterflex pump w two heads : one pulling from the 50 gallon brute can into the sump and the other pulls out of the sump, outside into the main drain
System is run by apex

I will add pics tomorrow as I'm at work now (cough cough)

I'm terrible at naming corals but I'll do my best

I have had trouble with my calcium reactor. It's probably undersized and isn't keeping up w my needs. Considering getting a procal from yesteryear. Has anyone had experience with it?

Also considering switching out my bubbleking SM250 to a lifereef vs3-30 or something similar.

I think I'm just a tinkerer at heart... the bubbleking produces tea colored skimmate, I can't dial it to skim really dry, either tea or nothin
