Movin' on Up
I got one of these scrapers from Premium Aquatics http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...duct_Code=EB-SA-K&Category_Code=Algaecleaners It came in yesterday and I glued it to a magnet, let it dry and went downstairs to clean the tank.
Let me just tell you - THIS THING IS AWESOME!!!!! My tank is 36 long x 18 wide x 24 deep. It's a pain to clean the glass because I have to get a chair, pull my sleeves up to the shoulder, get a towel because I'll drip water all over the place, etc. With a razor blade, it's usually a 1 hour job. I was able to clean two 24 x 36 and one 18 x 24 panel in about 5 minutes. It had been about 2 month since I last scraped off the coraline so there was a good amount on it but this thing didn't care.
Put the magnet in, run it around the tank, take the magnet out, you're done. No up and down on the chair to see where you've missed, no soaked shirts, no soaked carpet.
If you have an acrylic tank, you're out of luck, but if you have a glass tank, this thing will be your best friend.
