I have been living with this red algae on my live sand and the sides of my tank for a little bit, but now it is getting out of control. What is the best way to get rid of it? I heard some sort of tablets that work. Can someone elaborate?
Thanks!
This will help. If you practice some of the solutions here and have exhausted all other means then you may want to resort to chemicals. Typically cyno has an underlying cause. If you can find that cause or causes, you will solve your problem.
Thanks Pat. I do weekly water changes with ro/di water. My levels are at 0's, I don't think I over feed. I maybe could use more water flow (some new power heads). I'll have a go at that when I get some extra ducketts.
mrmustard,What power heads do you have in there now? I have 2 ea. seio 1100 and 2 mj 1200 in my 90. It seems about right.
FWIW. More flow might just be what you need.
