The Light Bandit, Promising?

Found this on a reef site that is not allowed to be linked on RC. Promising? What do you think? The Light Bandit seems like it might be a cool technology to harness natural sunlight. Might be a while before reefers can adopt to it and of course location will play a role as those reefers in Alaska might not be able use this for tank lighting because of limited sun.

What do you think? Can this be the next big thing?

It looks neat, but I wonder how much useful light it will really produce. A lot of these crowdfunded ideas fizzle when reality strikes.

A few concerns I have with it:
It looks like it is only about 1 square foot.
The window glass will reflect and filter some of the light, especially double or triple pane coated windows.
The box will never face the sun directly reducing efficiency further.
I can't see any LUX or lumen numbers, or any kind of numbers at all really.
The picture of the bulb they show is washed out by the flash on the camera, either they did some super HDR photography or the bulb is somewhat dim.

I think it is a neat idea, but I fear it won't be of too much help for our tanks.
