I am not advocating the collection of cleaner wrasses. I'm aware of their importance in nature, however I also understand their temptation and will admit to keeping 3 different species. In my tank I've had a bluestreak cleaner, a Hawaiian cleaner and my current prized possession, a red sea or four line cleaner wrasse. I've plenty of research and set up my tank with the wrasse in mind. However I would love input from people of have specific experience with the red sea cleaner wrasse (experience with other types of cleaner wrasse is rather irrelevant because the four line is not only a parasite picker but also a corallivore). The fish is kept with peaceful cardinalfish, damsels, and blennies. It's also kept with an asfur angel and a very, very rare tiger blotched moray eel which like the zebra eel rarely eats fish. The cleaner wrasse is eating mysis (I bought it at diver's den) and it is relatively hardy. I've had it for a few weeks. In my opinion the red sea cleaner is awesome fish which can be kept in captivity with the right care.
Anyway I liked to ask if any aquarists have had experience with the more exotic cleaner wrasse (not bluestreak!). Fish like the bicolor, Hawaiian, tahitian, allen's, red sea or yellow head. Also just so I cover all my basis, these wrasses are hard to keep. Indeed my Hawaiian wrasse died after just 2 days:uzi:
Thanks
