hello i prob should have did this a week ago lol. im jim and i have a 90 reef tank and my wife and kids have tanks also we have a total of 3 sw and 1 fw. i have like 40 pieces of coral and 16 fish a wet/dry and a skimmer not sure what kind but its big and works great! i have 3 powerheads and 2 overflows and i have a outerorbit 24 hr lighting system which has 2 150 halides and 4 t5s and 9 lunar. im a tattoo artist and own my own tattoo studio in middletown de. i specialize in photo realistic black n gray. i have had fw tanks all my life but just recently went to salt 10 months ago and i am learning alot of stuff that i never new. im addicted to it lol and so is my family so its cool we spent a crapload of money this year and alot of it was wasted money because of inexperience. so i now would like to be a member of drc and meet some local sw enthusiast. so feel free to say hi and ask ?'s and feel free to stop by my house and see the tank and see if there is anything i have that you would like to trade. this truly has been the most rewarding hobby i have ever had. me and the family go on sw hunts a differnt store on the weekends and sometimes every one in de. lol well i wont talk ya ear off but thanks for being nice to me when i post and thanks for the help drc for the replys to my questions.

best regards

Jim,

Where is your shop? I don't kow Middletown, other than the road you take in to it, but I'd like to check it out. Oh, and I don't have much right now, but after I'm running for a little while, I'll definately look you up for some trades.

Joe

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the club. Stop by Premium Aquatics in Newark in the Shop Rite shopping Center, on a Sunday and we could talk about your tanks or look into getting you some new fish. It seems lately we have been having impromptu meetings of the DRC there lately, with members always stopping to see whats new.

Welcome,

Tom

Nice to meet you Jim!! I will definitely have to check your shop out as I will be looking to get some ink done in the future. Definitely come to a DRC meeting, great bunch of people and always a good time. I will also have to jump on the bandwagon... would love to see what corals you have to trade.... I will have multiple frags of candycane and some zoo's in the near future.

Thanks

Finally another Middletown guy. If you need any tips or what-not let me know. Also if you are looking for some frags of stuff I will see what I can do.

trust me you are not missing anything by not being able to find Fishman on 202; but if you really want to go there, it is right on 202 on the southbound side across from the Fairfax shopping center... i think right next to Hi-Fi House.

exotic aquatic is well worth the trip ... there are a few other stores in the baltimore/glen burnie area that i've heard are worth visiting, but can't vouch for personally

oh, yeah .... welcome to RC and, hopefully, DRC

forget that then. i might go to exotic aquatic in md i heard its good.
Yeah, Exotic Aquatics is definitely worth the trip. Scales Tropical Fish in Silver Spring was also very nice. I was into freshwater when I went to Scales, but i can only assume they would have a nice Salt section as well. I will hopefully be making a MD run and will report back what I find out. The Aquarium Center in MD was also very nice, but I think they have changed owners recently and possibly the name has changed as well. Then there is also the Aquarium Center in NJ which is also very nice.

I agree about exotic... cool store. best display tank I have seen anywhere yet.

TPP is still the best on dry good prices. be careful of their livestock...

Cheers

Jim, welcome. Perhaps we should all swing by after or before visiting Tom's house this month as you both seem willing to show your tanks. As long as you don't mind a group coming. It's great to get a pool of opinions on your tank, I wish we could do my house, but things are in bad shape here and need a lot of work.

I was wondering how come this thread had so many posts on it the last two days. Seems like a lot of club member like to voice there opinions on LFSs. I'd really like to get some sort of poll or rating system up on the DRC website. Hopefully I don't get too biased with my opinion because of my new job. ;-)

Jim do you know about when you will swing by premium aquatics? I was going to try to stop in for a minute or two sometime Sunday.

Jon
