Sup! I am starting this thread to keep a log of my 90G reef tank build that I'm striving to keep SPS and other sweet stuff this Reef Life has to offer. I am just hoping that all you knowledgeable people can help me down the path to success. Thanks everyone.
Let's start with my equipment.
90G Display with 30G Sump
2x MH 15000 XM Display
1x MH 14000 Sump
I got hooked up with a ballast and 3xMH set so just kept it all wired and
I may turn it into Frag tank later
2x 12"Ecoxotic Stunner Strips
1x 300W ViaAqua Titanium Heater
1x RIO Hyperflow Return Pump 14 HF (will be upgrading shortly)
2x SICCE Voyager 1200gph Powerheads
1 x SICCE Wave Surfer
1x Aqueon 1250gph Powerhead
1x Aqua Euro USA Protein Skimmer

My current water parameters are as follows:
Temp: 77.6 F
Salinity: 1.026
Ammonia: <0.25 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
pH: 8
Calcium: 490 ppm
Alkalinity: 3.08 meq/L 8.6 dKH
Magnesium: 1350 ppm

I am looking to get a Hanna Phosphate or Phosphorous Checker. I am not sure about others just yet.

I think I may move my water changes to every 2 weeks from once a week. Since I have not been noticing much consumption from the SPS. I started doing water changes every week once I noticed that my Acro was starting to STN which I think was caused by access nutrients and/or phosphates. It appears now that the STN has stopped so I will wait and see what happens. Hopefully I will get growth back on the STN areas.

You can see the STN progress from the first set of pictures to the second set of pictures above.
