This was is the rmrc forum and figured that it needed to be shown here too. This post is from Mike Sanchez the Supervisor of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History to Dave (Freddie40). The cheato that Dave gave us as a starter for the fuge in the oasis tank has gone from a brillo pad sized chunk to about 2.5 square feet and about 8 inches thick. The Xenia is unlike any of the other more fragile looking types sold in town and has adhered to the glass and not rotting away at all. We have our fingers crossed for the polyps to start showing soon. Pics to follow...Thanks to Dave..............Len

Coral frags for the NMMNH&S
I would like to send a special thanks to Freddie40 for sharing frags of Xenia with us folks here at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Though they got off to a bit of a difficult start, the frags seem to be recovering and several show signs of budding. Along a similar line, the algae introduced into one of our refugiums is spreading like crazy; I now have enough to introduce into our 75 gallon anemone tank refugium too. The tanks have never looked better!

Yo, Zombiedust, thanks for the transport and all the hard work - it really shows.

Also special thanks to the Glue Master, jaw969 for his advice on how to get the Xenia to become one with the glass !
