The plans are done, now lighting question

I have finalized the house plans and with it the centerpiece aquarium.

It will be a 48x48x26 tall with a center overflow that's 10" on a side. The overflow will also have the return lines and the power chords for the streams.

Now the main question: How should I light it?

I am planning on a mixed reef and would like to have a clam or two on the sandbed.

I had thought about DIY LED lighting but have doubts so I am building a small setup for a desktop nano to test them.

What are your opinions?

Thanks for any input,
