the refugium light from home depot

Lights of America 65w Cut a hole in the light fixture so that it doesn't overheat (I overheated two before the hole).

I use the LOA one in a closed stand and it's been running for about a month now no problems, grows cheato, algae, calerous algae, and zoanthids; all just in my sump...

Fortunately no overheating here, but I can imagine that happening as it gets quite warm.

I ran one in my 75 gal for about 1 year w/o any overheating issues either, in fact, unless he changed the set up I sold him, Keith is still running the same light in his sump.

yup...still running the same light bulb...havent changed a thing. thought about adding another but figured with my tight budget I should spend the money elsewhere.

As soon as I get my cabinet delivered I will put a refuge in it with a similar light. I like the one that clockwurk posted It seems to work pretty well, the TCP 75Watt 5100k. What do you guys think?
