Well the time has come for an upgrade from my 90 gal. to a 225 gallon sps dominated reef. The tank will be built by miracles in glass and hopefully be ordered this week. The dimensions will be
L 72" W 30" H 24" the front and sides will be 1/2 inch starfire back and bottom will be 5/8 Tempered glass. There will be an external over flow back center of tank with 2@1.5" drains. It will also have 4.5" eurobracing. I'm not sure if it will be a bare bottom system or have a SSB. For in tank circulation there will be tunze streams, I have two 6100 on my 90 that will be transferred to the new system along with ether two 6200's or another two 6100's.
For a return I was thinking of a Sequence Dart with two outlets on wavyseas. I have decided to store all equipment under the stand which will be a Deltec 702 skimmer, Deltec pf601 ca reactor,
po4 reactor,Neptune controller and a sump but I'm unsure what size it will be. For lighting I will be switching from 250W DE's to 250w se's with lumenarc III reflectors there will be three of them.
For dusk/dawn I will have two URI super actinic's with a icecap 660. I am attempting to build my own stand and canopy. Any ideas are welcome :)

Here is what I accomplished on the stand so far. I used standard 2x4's and a pocket hole gig from kreg It took some time but worked like a charm. I applied wood glue to every joint. I have to notch out the Plywood to rest around the leg supports for the sump and equipment deck. I have the upper section all done as well but need to install the plywood first as you can see.

I will have more pictures as I progress. I'm still trying to figure out how to cover the stand, like what type of wood and how to make the doors, stain and so on. I'm taking suggestions if anyone has some to offer.

well I finally had some more time to work on the stand. this is what I have accomplished. I still need to seal it with something. If anyone has some suggestions please feel free to offer them. I'm still not sure how I want to cover it yet. I have ordered the tank and should see it in six to eight weeks. I have also purchased a sequence Dart for the return.
