the sun is my only light

Took this pic yesterday right before sunset. Its funny how many things do real well under natural sun light

There is a guy in central Ohio that raises corals in a green house. He has back up MH since its not always sunny in ohio. Everything in his vats look super healthy.
 
Remember, there are no "lights" on a natural reef and corals have been around a lot longer than we have, so it's not exactly surprising. Also keep in mind that it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere so the sun sits lower in the sky. In another couple months you won't get much direct sun in your windows at all.
 
Yes As I said no lights just the sun seapug .I understand the concept of no actual electrical light;) In a couple of months direct sunlight is all I will have:D
 
yeah i had my tank running like that for about 2 months now....and my frogspawn is going crazy then again im in cali to..hehe

I have designed a fish room the will have a glass roof for sunlight to come through to the tank. I now have to figure out how to get enough money to build it.:p
